Proposal acronym: Hockey4All
Duration (months): 24
Proposal title: Hockey4All
The Hky4All project is a small collaborative partnership with the specific aim of using sports, especially through the application of Hockey, to encourage young children to be more respectful of each other and differences. It is also aimed to increase the access of young children with or without intellectual disabilities to regular physical activity integration program implementation. To achieve the main objective, a Hockey 4All Program has been developed through the implementation of 10 Inclusive Hockey sports meets. 2 Open Inclusive Sport Events and 2 Seminars organized – Transnational Coaches Training Camp (organized by EHF in Brussels) + 5 Hky4All webinars for coaches organized by partners. These activities are organized to provide easy access to interested people, and the results are presented to be shared on the project page as a concrete electronic document (pdf, video, picture, etc.). In addition, to raise awareness about the importance of doing sports at an early age; Many activities have been organized to make children more tolerant and cooperative towards each other. During our project, earthquakes occurred on February 6, 2023 in the city of Kahramanmaraş, where the coordinator KSU is located, which can be considered the disaster of the century. Both our people and our sports facilities were damaged in these earthquakes. However, our project activities were resumed after a while. Our Hockey4all events helped participating families and their children recover faster from the earthquake. Thanks to our project, communication was established between sports clubs, associations and schools in order to overcome the existing obstacles to diversity in our European society and to raise awareness. A newsletter, a web page, and project opening and closing events were organized to disseminate the results of the project to the European community.
